Alfalfa Sprouts

Alfalfa

Alfalfa sprouts
are one of the most popular, nutritious and delicious seeds with a sweet nut-like flavor, and a mild crunch. They are a lot safer, less expensive, and incredibly more nutritious and fun to eat than factory-field, chemicalized lettuce.

Alfalfa sprouts are one of the most important sources of phytoestrogens- beneficial compounds in plant foods that can help reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease and osteoporosis.

Alfalfa sprouts have also been shown to reduce LDL cholesterol.

Alfalfa sprouts are a great addition to salads, sandwiches and juices, or as a garnish on foods such as hummus. Along with broccoli, alfalfa sprouts are one of our favourite sprouts because of how easy they are to grow and add to just about any meal. Just place two tablespoons of seeds in our sprouter and watch the sprouts fill up the jar in a matter of days.
