Banana-Chia Sorbet


Ingredients:

2-3 medium ripe bananas, peeled and frozen
1/4 cup walnuts
2-3 Tbsp chia gel*


*Making Chia Gel:
Put 1/3 cup chia seeds and 2 cups of water into a jar with a tight fitting lid, such as a mason jar. Shake it up for 30 seconds. Let the jar sit on the counter for 10 minutes before shaking it a second time. Store chia gel in refrigerator.


Preparation:

Blend all of the ingredients together until smooth. Ideally, you would use the highest setting on a powerful blender, and it would take no longer than 10-20 seconds with the help of a tamper (depending on the blender). If your blender is not as powerful it may take longer to process and could melt the sorbet. The solution is to place the bowls in the  freezer for about 10 minutes before serving. An even better solution is to invest in a good blender in order to make life easy!
