Breakfast Delight

This is a sweet, 100% raw, delicious and crunchy recipe that will definitely increase your energy levels. It can be eaten as an occasional replacement for the sprouted oats and kamut cereal breakfast that is featured on our program. However, it is not suitable for everyone- the reason why is explained within the recipe.

Ingredients:

1 avocado
1 cup homemade almond milk
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup sprouted buckwheat (dehydrated)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
8 drops liquid stevia
blueberries (optional)

Preparation:

Blend all of the ingredients, except for the buckwheat and blueberries, until a smooth consistency is achieved. Pour the mixture into a cereal bowl, add the buckwheat and stir it up. You may add blueberries for extra sweetness, however, we do not recommend adding fruit if you are suffering from digestion issues. Fruits are best eaten alone on an empty stomach. Also, avocado and chia seeds are a great source of healthy fats for most people, however, as mentioned in several of my health articles, if your cholesterol is over 3.9 mmol/L (150mg/dl) it is best to avoid consuming too many concentrated fats.

Note: Replacing the avocado with a ripe banana turns this recipe into a sweet dessert that is great for helping young children transition to a healthier diet.

Makes 1-2 servings

  1. Hi there, I just updated the recipe info to include the amount of servings. Also, please note that in general I teach my clients to focus on the kinds of foods they should be eating rather than the actual portion size or amount of calories. When we turn to the right kinds of foods we are able to lose weight easily while eating as much as we want! That’s one of the great benefits of learning more about proper nutrition. All the best.
