A Different Kind of Wish for 2022

The past two years had us all realize how fragile everyday life is. We were confronted with incredible challenges and, in many ways, we were put to the test.

The analogy of the orange comes to mind. A question is asked: “What do you get when you squeeze an orange?” And the answer, of course, is that you’ll always get orange juice.

The same applies to you and I.

What comes out of us when we are squeezed and pressured is who we are deep inside. Are we anxious, fearful, angry and quick to judge others, or are we filled with compassion, understanding and love for others?

Throughout this pandemic I often repeated to my friends and clients that no one is getting out of this unchanged. More importantly, it is up to us to decide if we will emerge as better versions of ourselves. This starts by acknowledging our weaknesses, as painful as it may be, and then turning them into our strengths.

On behalf of myself and our Markito Fitness & Nutrition team, I wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and the courage to make 2022 a wonderful year for yourself and everyone around you.
