The Absolute Truth About Your Medical Treatment

Published: September 27th, 2015.

Many doctors and healthcare professionals do not understand the difference between absolute and relative risk reduction when interpreting results of scientific studies. This leads them to overestimate the effectiveness of the drugs and therapies they prescribe. This video provides information that allows you to make better decisions about your medical treatment.

  4. This is a great video. Thank you for creating it. When I took statistics in college, while I passed the course, I came away understanding more about the nonsense and the way statistics are so easily manipulated – especially in their public presentation – that I’ve never believed an advertised statistic since!

    1. You are very welcome. I am reminded of the phrase “there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.” All the best.

  5. When it comes to making informed decisions about medical treatment and overall general health, I firmly believe that education = knowledge = empowerment. Keep up the great work and I look forward to watching more of your informative healthcare videos.

    1. Thank you Sushma. I’m looking forward to getting you started with your online personal training. I’ll be in touch shortly.

  6. After 20 years of nursing I have become terribly cynical. I have seen stuff far worse than this. The Health Care Industry is no better than the Military Industrial Complex. The create illness in order to Charge us to treat it, as the Military Ind Cmplx pushes/lobby’s politicians for constant war to charge us for their weapons.

  7. Enjoyed the video…would you consider listing the references to the studies you mentioned? I would use the information and share your video but I would need to have access to the references.

    1. +Paul Groulx Thank you for watching. I intend to publish more information as well as video transcripts on my Markito Nutrition website in the near future. Below are just a few of the studies that I reviewed before publishing this particular video. All the best.

  8. Hey my name is rodrigo and i would like to know what i need to do to get way from the pain a have for few weeks. Amy bones from all my body hurts but the most is in the upper body like arms, back, chest. What food its good to take in the morning and lunch to have a healty body. Running and doing exersises in my house help a lot. I work in a company where i carry boxes qnd carry containers from 50 pounds. 🙂

    1. Hello Rodrigo,

It is important to lift and carry the boxes with good form to minimize your risk of getting hurt. A proper strength training program can go a long way in helping you stay well balanced and prevent injury. Regarding food, I invite you to visit the recipe section of this website and to learn about the benefits of sprouts. Many of our clients begin each day with wheatgrass juice, and a little later they have a big bowl of sprouted grains for breakfast. For lunch they enjoy meals featuring sprouted legumes, such as chickpeas. These foods will provide you with lots of energy so that you may go about your day lifting 50 pound containers! Furthermore, a proper plant-based diet will reduce inflammation and speed up your recovery after a physically demanding day. All the best.

  9. Your videos are very well done and informative. Keep fighting the good fight and educating people on the truth! We need to turn this ship around!
