24-Hour Juice Fast

Our body is an amazing machine that is continually detoxifying itself, however, when it can’t keep up with the challenges we face in our modern world, we can begin to breakdown physically as well as mentally. The first step of any healing process is to help our body remove as many toxins as possible, thus allowing our organs and immune system to function more efficiently. One way to achieve this goal is to commit to a one day per week juice fast. The scientific literature has clearly shown us that intermittent fasting can prevent and inhibit chronic illness, and our clients look forward to their juice fast each week because it invigorates them both mentally and physically.


Here is how it works:

Our Markito Nutrition Juice Fast consists of over one litre of our most nutrient dense juice mix, specially formulated to enhance detoxification and enable your body to restore its own natural vibrant health. Here is how we divide the juice:

  • 2 ounces of wheatgrass juice first thing in the morning.
  • Lunch: first serving of 16 ounce green juice (ingredients include our special mix of sunflower greens, pea shoots, broccoli sprouts, broccoli, kale, swiss chard, cucumber, celery, more greens and herbs, a very small amount of fruit, lemon, ginger).
  • Dinner: second serving of 16 ounce green juice.
  • 2 ounces of wheatgrass juice before bedtime. (At this point you can choose to end your 24 hour fast with a light meal, such as a sprout salad, or extend your fast until the next morning).
  • Lemon water with some stevia can be consumed throughout the day. Water must be 100% pure distilled water. We are happy to supply you with a bottle of our Summer Breeze lemonade to drink in between your green juices.

Why do it weekly?

With a one day per week juice fast, by the end of the year you would have fasted for a total of 52 days- there is nothing in the field of nutrition that is known to bring about more health benefits than periodic fasting combined with a proper plant-based diet. In fact, fasting is an ancient tradition practised by several cultures for centuries. When done correctly, a one day juice fast once a week is very therapeutic to the body. Furthermore, by being added to our weekly rotation you are assured to keep your place seeing as we plant, grow and harvest our microgreens on schedule for each client, ensuring the highest quality, freshness and potency of our juice. Our clients tell us that, regardless of the type of week they are having, they always look forward to their juice cleanse.


Can I work or exercise during the juice fast?

Absolutely. Our clients book training sessions during the day that they are fasting. It is possible to even feel a boost of energy due to the fact that you are giving your digestive system a break, and absorbing nutrients quickly and efficiently.


How to begin:

If you are ready to sign up for your 24-hour weekly fast, we will choose an evening each week for you to pick up your juice. We will supply you with two 16-ounce bottles of our green juice, featuring organically grown vegetables, leafy greens and our freshly harvested microgreens, along with two 2-ounce servings of frozen wheatgrass juice. The next day will be your fasting day and you will consume all of your juice. Every week you will return your empty glass bottles and containers as you pick up your new batch of freshly pressed juice.

We’re not kidding about the freshness of our juices!


*All of our juices are cold pressed individually, utilizing a process that has been shown through laboratory testing to preserve the highest concentration of nutrients.

*You don’t have to go it alone. When possible, get a partner (spouse, sibling, friend or colleague) to go through the 24-hour juice fast with you. This can enhance the experience as well as offer added support.
